Scream Queens, Season 2

Position:

Assistant Costume Designer

Mission:

To assist in character development from season one through to season two’s storyline. Source textiles for made-to-order products, manage actors’ fittings, and curate individual expression of character through costume design, color palate, and texture.

Accomplished:

Research, procurement, sourcing, and cross functional team communication to create a cohesive aesthetic. Chilling visuals in alignment with scripted messaging and the Director’s vision. The result was a terrifying and hilariously camp production that quickly became a cult tv classic.

Season 5

Position: Costume Buyer

Mission:

Individual character development for series cast of 12, in multiple time periods and locations. Reflect each character’s personality and storyline objectives by analyzing scripts and translating the written word into visual messaging. Provide outcomes within allotted budget for department labor and sourced costume items.

Accomplished:

The process began with time period and cultural research, mixed media collage boards, and identifying vendors. Armed with this information, I managed and facilitated procurement and sourcing of requested items within budget. The result created a dynamic visual story, influencing modern cultural dress, and representing Black family dynamics in mainstream media.

To assist in creative character development for Paramount studios, feature film, in multiple US locations. Reflect each character’s personality and storyline objectives by analyzing scripts and translating the written word into visual messaging. Assist in leading costume department, cross-functional communication, and relationship management with cast and crew.

Accomplished:

Comedic enhancing design and visual storytelling that resonated with viewing audiences. Procured assets within allotted timeframe, under pressure, and managed vendor relationships across US cities, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Miami.
